There’s no I in BuddyUp - Welcome to our Social Hub

BuddyUp Social was created with one sole intention - bringing back some old school community spirit in a digital era.

To create and build this community, we therefore want to ensure, that everybody has a good experience when using this app that is based on trust between strangers. BuddyUp Social is only as safe as we make it. And whilst we have done all we can to ensure trustworthy profiles, “it takes a village”, so below is a list of our community guidelines, or house rules if you will.

By using BuddyUp Social, you therefore agree to abide by our community guidelines: Any violation of these can result in an immediate suspension of your profile. We moreover encourage you to report any behaviour that violates our policies, and to read up on our Safety Tips.

  • Fake accounts, events, impersonations (i.e. catfish) will be caught and blocked. And if you come across one, do let us know.

  • Unless you’ve paid for cleaning, please leave any public or private venue in the same condition as you found it.

  • We expect a positive tone and engagement, where members show respect and consideration for others. Please show up on time,be present and live a good impression.

  • Using BuddyUp Social to promote, facilitate, or organise violent, criminal, or non-consensual actions that endanger anyone, physically, mentally, or emotionally, is prohibited.

  • We love to see you socialising with your new buddy on social media. But please only tag and/or post pictures of others after their clear consent. And if in doubt, don’t - mood pictures are cool too.

  • This app is built on trust, of each other and venues. All organisers and members should take ownership over their personal safety and should never put themselves or others in danger.

  • If alcohol is part of your event, we expect you to comply to all local and national age regulations, don’t make it accessible for minors and be responsible!

Caught rule-breaking?

Any reported or discovered breach of the Community Rules will result in an immediate suspension and blocking of the app. BuddyUp Social reserves the right to investigate and/or terminate your account without a refund of any purchases if you have misused the Service or behaved in a way that BuddyUp Social regards as inappropriate, unlawful, or in violation of the Terms of Use, including actions or communications that occur off the Service but involve users you meet through the Service.
